I know I say it all the time but a long december by counting crows will always be my favorite song. Some of my favorite lyrics are in this song. Its just too goddamn perfect and so true. When I was younger and would hear it on the radio and just think of it as another catchy song. But now that I get the message behind the suck, it moves me way more.

I started penning out some lyrics to a new song a few minutes ago. Its not finished. I only have the first two lines. The concept of the song is about how there’s always something that can give you a sense of hope. It may take a while to find it but its there.

When I was younger, I never thought I would make it out alive, but I found what I needed to survive. When I got to the end of my rope, I tied a knot and I held on. I found that solid ground to stand on.

I’m currently riding shotgun in the van. Nates driving blasting anti flag. Its funny to think where we were a year ago. I couldn’t be more thankful for all the awesome stuff that’s been happening.
